And just like that, in one night hours of organizing, writing, promoting, emailing, reading, conversing, building, photographing, editing, choosing, coordinating and we have completed an opening night show and selected winners of this years scholarship. We have seen this show grow from 11 students in 2014, to 19 in 2015 and this year we had 30 applicants! This scholarship gives students a platform to express themselves and an opportunity to be photographed in a way that honors who they are and celebrates positive self image. The vulnerability and authenticity these students express makes this project rich in it’s purpose. Thank you to each applicant for participating this year. This year’s third place scholarship went to Tori Esperanza Archuleta of Ignacio High School. Second place went to Michaela Eckstein of Bayfield High School and first place went to Henry Boone of Aztec High School.
