Croatia with Nasha

Expansive, exhilarating, uplifting, extraordinary, deliciously fulfilled. When I was first invited on this trip I dismissed it as an opportunity that would likely not come to be. We had already spent a large portion of the year in New Zealand visiting family. In that time I had been able to travel with my Dad for 8 days while my husband took care of our children, so to ask for this on top of that seemed like an obvious “no.” But Steve’s response to the invite was “you should go.” So I RSVP-ed “yes” still thinking it would likely not happen as the mom guilt in me is strong. However, as the planning solidified I was pushed to commit with prepaying for our walking tour and then encouraged to purchase my plane ticket and before I knew it I was quite literally scheduled to be on a plane to Croatia on September 30, 2016. That’s when I finally got excited for this trip. That is when it became real, when I was boarding the plane. Now I can’t shake it. The travel bug laying dormant since motherhood has been awaken again and it would irrational to hold her back now. I am loaded with gratitude to all of those who made this trip possible especially my husband (Steve) and Nasha who created this experience. Croatia you have my heart. May we meet again!

Side note: Although these images capture a lot of our time together. My most favorite memories are not saved here. Including skinny dipping in the Adriatic Sea and dancing under the stars on marble tiles in old town Split built by the Romans. In fact the juiciest parts this trip could only be saved to memory. Photos just don’t cut it, but I did try. 😉
