“What is 15 extra minutes of sleep time?” my wise friend Alison asked me.
I got up at 5:30 a.m. this morning. Filled up a cup with a dribble of apple cider vinegar and topped it with stevia and hot water to have as my morning hot drink. I know what you are thinking… why on Earth? Here’s the thing, I choose me. I am switching the conversation from “I can’t have” to “I choose me.”
So, what does 15 extra minutes of not sleeping by me? Sanity. It’s quiet in my house. I am blogging. I had time to ponder all of the things I am invited to cut out of my diet to feel better. A 6 months cleanse. A 6 month commitment to myself. Yesterday I choose, bailey’s in my coffee, warm banana waffles, meat and cheese rolls, ice-cream and gluten free cake, gluten free beer, arugula and beet salad (not all together at one time, but this still resulted in awfully bad gas.)
So instead of bloating and bad gas today I choose me. Today I choose apple cider vinegar water in a a Christmas mug. Today I choose to feel good.
