We got our girl! I have never seen anything like it. Wesley labored for 56 hours at home. We had three two hour dance parties to try to get the baby out. Imagine bouncing your belly like it ain’t no body’s business while laboring. She was a Rockstar! Her body was protecting her though and never let her contractions get closer then three minutes apart at a time. She made it to 8cm and then we made the call after our last dance party and no progress to go to the hospital. She chose to have a c-section and it was the right choice. Baby was sunny side up and even though everyone’s heart beat was ok during the laboring she did inhale a tiny bit of poo and had to be put under oxygen right away. During surgery Wesley had an artery rupture because her uterus tore and she lost half of her blood. All of the doctors and nurses were pretty freaked out by it. I didn’t realize how serious/scary it was for them because by the time that I saw her she was fine and excited to see her baby again. The doctor gave Wes a big hug the day after the surgery. She told the story of how she had to stitch the artery back together without being able to see it because it was blocked by organs and in a hard to reach place. Her hand guided by our Mom perhaps. Either way I am so grateful she was successful in the surgery. Wesley wanted a natural birth and tried her hardest. She has no regrets and is an incredible Mom! Baby girl Mae Judith Sebern was born on April 18, 2015 at 11:08 p.m. and weighed 7lbs 9oz. Just perfect! Everyone is doing well and made it back home today.
Yay! Yay! Yay!
