Here we are approaching the end of September. My heart hurts for two reasons. It always aches a little when summer comes to an end and the bigger reason is my baby is nearly one. Suddenly he is starting to get annoyed when I squish my face into his checks and apply repetitive kisses. I do it anyways because I can’t stand the thought of missing out on quality time with those baby cheeks! Asher is evolving. There is no stopping it. Sunday the 28th was a big day for him. He pulled himself into a standing position for the first time and he signed “more.” An overachiever, I know.
Not pictured here in this blog is my fantastic garden and finished back porch. Amazing and took nearly 4 weekends to finish. In that time Asher got two bottom teeth and learned to crawl.
We had friends visit from Denver, Montana, and Australia. Summer went quick!
Steve’s parents gifted our niece Courtney a trip to Durango, Colorado for her 19th birthday. They explored for 10 days. Quite good fun for all involved. Odin was ecstatic to have “Yaya” and “Muti” in town. The following weekend we drove to Denver for my cousin Daniel’s wedding. There has not been much down time.
Our favorite Odin quote of the last two months goes to Steve on the evening of Daniel’s wedding while playing games with Odin. “Dad, some times I love you.
